October 6-12 declared "Prevent Kitchen Fires Week"

Guam - Fires destroy lives and communities but fires are also preventable. As the island celebrates Fire Prevention Week focused on preventing kitchen fires, first responders remind residents to never leave food that is cooking unattended, never allow young children within three feet of cooking areas, and to keep flammable goods away from cooking surfaces.
