Guam - In celebration of read for the record day, dozens of students at Chief Brodie Elementary School were treated to a special reading by First Lady Christine Calvo. "I think reading is very important. It's not much we can do in life if we don't read. Please make time to read to your children and kids, ask your parents for books too," she said.

The Jumpstart National Campaign promotes literacy and early childhood education. Across the country, thousands of children will also be reading Loren Long's "Otis," a book about a fun-loving tractor and friendships.
