Guam - Guam students could soon save thousands in tuition at off-island universities if lawmakers act fast on Resolution 234.

Introduced by Senator Brant McCreadie last week, the resolution would support Guam's membership in the western interstate commission for higher education that today represents 15 states, 150 schools, and 400 programs.

Specifically, Guam students could pay tuition for resident students at participating schools.

A public hearing on the measure is set for Friday, October 4 at 1 p.m. at the Legislature's Public Hearing Room.
