Guam - A robber got more than he bargained for when he tried to rob Boeing Market in Barrigada Heights on Friday night. Police report that a man entered the establishment armed with a metal pipe and demanding cash.

The cashier, however, grabbed a hockey stick and struck the suspect on his head and fended him off.  The suspect managed to flee before police arrived.

He was wearing a beige long-sleeved shirt and black pants.

This is the second attempted robbery at Boeing Mart.  Several months ago the owner managed to follow a man who tried to rob the store until police apprehended him.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Guam Police Department at 472-8911 or Guam Crimestoppers at 477-HELP (4357).
