Guam - More good news for the Guam International Airport as the U.S. Department of Transportation awarded the agency with a $1.8 million grant for the third phase of its runway rehabilitation project. According to Guam Delegate Madeleine Bordallo the funding will make the runway structurally secure and minimize debris to ensure passengers coming into and leaving the airport are safe. Governor Eddie Calvo meanwhile comments that the airport is a gateway to much of our economic growth and investigating there is investing in the future of Guam.
