GDOE is expecting all schools to be ready to open on Monday after the heavy rains that hit the island.  Superintendent Jon Fernandez advised school principals to assess their campuses and report all concerns they have.

Additionally, the Facilities and Maintenance Division have been actively addressing concerns at the schools and will continue to do so this weekend.  "I expect that our schools will be prepared to receive students on Monday morning," said Fernandez.  "I have been visiting campuses to understand the concerns and ensure they are addressed."

GDOE continues to communicate with the Guam Power Authority, Guam Waterworks Authority and the Department of Public Works to make sure schools are ready on Monday.
