Closure of the Ordot Dump expected to cost nearly 50 million dollars
GUAM - The environmental closure of the Ordot dump is expected to cost nearly 50 million dollars. District Court Chief Judge Frances Tydingco Gatewood released a notice today that revealed that Black Construction was the lowest bidder. The company's bid of 40.8 million was nearly 17 million less than the federal receiver had estimated. But the receiver notes that there must be a contingency of 20% so the total project construction budget is now 49 million. Receiver representative David Manning says a notice of award will be issued and contract negotiations will begin. Proposals for the construction management services for other related projects are currently being evaluated.
