Several weather advisories remain in effect for Guam as a result of a tropical disturbance developing around the Marianas.

The National Weather Service has issued the following advisories:

High Surf Advisory: This is in effect until 6:00pm Tuesday. According to the NWS moderate to strong west winds with occasional gusts are feeding into a developing circulation centered just east of the Marianas. These winds will create hazardous surf of 10 to 12 feet on west facing reefs and 8-10 feet on north facing reefs. Surf will continue to be hazardous through at least Tuesday. Rip currents are life threatening.
Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory (Guam and Rota): This is in effect until 2:15pm Saturday. According to the NWS additional rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is likely through early afternoon. With soils already saturated the rainfall will result in elevated levels on small streams and creeks, ponding of water in low-lying areas and widespread street flooding in urban and residential areas. You are advised not o drive into areas where water covers the road. The depth may be too great to allow safe crossing.
Small Craft Advisory: This is in effect until 6:00pm Tuesday. According to the NWS combined seas of 9-11 feet and west winds between 15-25 knots with occasional gusts to 30 knots will produce hazardous conditions for small craft operators. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in these conditions. If travel by boat is necessary exercise caution, especially near reef lines and when entering or leaving harbors and inlets.

Guam Homeland Security/ Office of Civil Defense meanwhile reports that the village of Merizo is still experiencing flooding from the Barcinas area to Baza Stret. Additionally, the outer-most lane going northbound at Polaris Point is experiencing flooding.
