This April, the island is observing several awareness themes and among them, Sexual Abuse Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Additionally, we join the nation in observing National Crime Victims’ Rights Week from April 19 to April 25.

The Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence, along with its community partners, will be hosting various activities.

These events aim to honor survivors of crime and acknowledge the profound impact violence has on families, neighborhoods, and the broader island community.

The community is invited to engage in a community wave on April 21st, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in villages across the island. This will be followed by a community outreach event on April 22, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Skinner’s Plaza.
