New commander at NAVFAC Marianas

Guam - There's a new person in charge of Naval Facilities Engineering Command. A change of command ceremony was held this morning in Santa Rita during which NAVFAC Marianas commanding officer, Captain John Heckmann Jr. rendered command to Captain Glenn Shephard. Shephard previously served as the executive officer for NAVFAC Northwest in Washington State. Heckman, meanwhile heads to Washington, DC where he will assume his new duties as NAVFAC headquarters operations officer.
