CCU discussing solar panels for agencies
Guam - The Consolidated Commission on Utilities is discussing outfitting GovGuam agencies with photovoltaic systems. CCU chairperson Simon Sanchez said, "It's a proposal by G[A to pursue a renewable energy procurement which will allow for more roof top solar energy projects the Government of Guam in particular."
Sanchez says many private and government entities have large roof tops which are perfect for solar panels. In the procurement GPA would work with the private sector to equip these buildings with the solar panels which would in turn benefit the consumer and the government. He adds that this is one more step to diversify GPA's renewable portfolio.
