Guam - Former Department of Corrections officer Eric Tedtaotao will remain detained. He appeared in court today to argue his motion for pre-trial release, but it was denied by Magistrate Judge Joaquin Manibusan.

Tedtaotao along with his wife Macrina and Bertha Moore are accused of smuggling in large quantities of the drug Ice from the Philippines to Guam.

Macrina has already been granted pre-trial release while Moore has signed a plea agreement with the feds. As we reported the U.S. Attorney's Office opposed Tedtaotao's release saying he is an admitted large scale drug dealer with a history of threatening cooperators. They also argued that he continued to engage in drug dealing even when he knew he was under federal investigation. Tedtaotao has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
