Guam - Some good news when it comes to our power bills. The Public Utilities Commission last night approved the Guam Power Authority's request to lower its Levelized Energy Adjustment Clause (LEAC).
CCU chairman Simon Sanchez said, "They approved last night a rate decrease is about ten percent of your total bill this was based on the new fuel contract that we signed that is going to provide lower costs for our rate payers and the projection of oil over the next six months being a little more stable, then it has been in the last few months."
The ten percent decrease in power bills will begins August 1st and will remain in place until January 31st.
