Students could earn miles for off-island travel
Senator Ben Pangelinan notes his office continues to receive requests for financial support from students participating in sports programs and for academic advancement to help defray the cost of going off-island.

Guam - With the passing of Bill 44 into law, Senator Ben Pangelinan is addressing Department of Education superintendent Jon Fernandez to begin working with GovGuam agencies to begin the process of promulgating rules and regulations for the legislation that gives mileage to eligible students for off-island travel.
In a letter dated July 30th, Pangelinan notes his office continues to receive requests for financial support from students participating in sports programs and for academic advancement to help defray the cost of going off-island.
