DOE merit bonuses to be paid next week

Guam - Good news for Department of Education employees waiting on their merit bonuses. DOE superintendent Jon Fernandez tells KUAM News the Department of Administration has released $1.3 million in cash so DOE can make the payouts.
Fernandez hopes to have these issued by the end of next week.
Meantime, the last of DOE employees waiting on their increments will see the adjustments in their paychecks issued today. That's a total of 3,750 DOE employees who've received their increments.
Fernandez says the last of the payouts is for retroactive increments pending the release of cash from DOA.
