Guam - Close to 1,300 former government line agency employees will be receiving their long-awaited merit bonus checks. That's according to the Governor's Office who announced that the Department of Administration will be mailing out the bonuses on Friday.

The 1,300 former employees including those who have retired, resigned or transferred to an autonomous agency.

The Governor's Office could not provide a total dollar figure but say this comes as a result of good cash management. They further add this is part of the administration making good on its promises to employees now that the deficit has been taken care of.
