Guam - A police officer assigned to the Tumon-Tamuning Precinct was arrested today following a special investigation that was launched a month ago. Police Officer III Kevin Reyes Guerrero was arrested on charges of harassment and disorderly conduct. The arrest stems from a verbal altercation that occurred at the record and id section last month.
Guerrero was arrested and released as the case was forwarded to the Attorney General's Office for possible indictment. GPD spokesperson Lieutenant Art Paulino says Guerrero was not placed on administrative leave and adverse action against the officer is pending.
Guerrero was arrested a few years ago for misdemeanor assault.
