OSHA launching regional emphasis program
The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration is launching an emphasis program in Guam, Hawaii, the CNMI, and American Samoa in an effort to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities associated with the use of automotive lifts.

Guam - The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration is launching an emphasis program in Guam, Hawaii, the CNMI, and American Samoa in an effort to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities associated with the use of automotive lifts. Beginning in July, OSHA compliance officers will conduct inspections to identify and evaluate hazards of lifts used in the automotive industry. The inspections will occur at car dealerships, automotive repair and maintenance shops as well as gas stations and automotive parts, accessories and tire stores.
