Guam - 'Tis the season for travel trade shows as Guam Visitors Bureau general manager Karl Pangelinan reports, Guam delegates have been meeting with off-island officials to diversify the markets as well as maintain longstanding ones.

Pangelinan says he's recently returned from Korea and Japan. "This is with all the large Japan tour agents they sort of formed a consortium if you will to look after Guam matters there we were able to communicate what we're trying to do in the market some of our Japan numbers have stabilized or plateau if you will and we're just looking at what we can do better," he said.

Pangelinan also stopped in Las Vegas to get a behind the scenes tour of hotel properties and attract higher end hotels to the island.

Meanwhile deputy general manager Nate Denight recently returned from the International Travel Expo held in Hong Kong, which he says is a great opportunity to attract mainland Chinese visitors from South Eastern China.
