GUAM - A man who stole a purse from the beach thought he shouldn't be arrested because he gave the bag back. Robert Junior Cruz was arrested after stealing a woman's purse. The victim was in the water and chased after Cruz who threw her purse over a fence. According to court documents, the victim realized her cell phone was missing and went after Cruz again. Cruz allegedly pulled out a screwdriver but later threw it in the jungle area. The woman then grabbed Cruz by the arm and demanded he show her where the phone was located and when he did, he ran away. Cruz told police he lost 350 dollars while gambling that was supposed to be used to register his vehicle and admitted to stealing the purse.
