GUAM - The Civil Service Commission will make their decision to reinstate a terminated Port Authority of Guam employee official tonight. Salvadore Guevara was fired by the agency after the CSC determined in a post-audit that he was not qualified for the accountant II position he was hired for about one year go. Guevara was reinstated after the commission made a conflicting decision and found that management failed to serve him his termination within the 60 day rule. Management argued that because he was hired illegally, he was not a legitimate classified employee. The port has been waiting on the signing of the dismissal and now has 20 days to appeal and ask for a reconsideration as well as 30 days to pursue an appeal with the Superior Court of Guam.
