Guam - The Democratic Party of Guam Central Executive Committee failed to meet quorum for its meeting last night but efforts to bring new leadership to the party are underway. Nomination packets are ready for potential candidates who wish to lead the Democratic Party of Guam. Positions up for election in august are for the chair and vice chair position who must run as a team with one male and one female, secretary and treasurer which are both individual races and the district leaders for the CEC representing every village. Candidates must be over the age of 18, a registered voter and democrat and collect 25 signatures. Nomination packets can be picked up at the offices of either Speaker Judi Won Pat, who is leading the nomination committee or Vice Speaker B.J. Cruz. Nomination packets are due August 16 with elections set for August 30. The CEC meeting meanwhile has been rescheduled to next Thursday, June 13 at 6pm in the Sinajana Community Center.
