A free lunch & learn seminar hosted by the Salvation Army is only a month away and those interested in learning about various opportunities to benefit both family and community are welcome to attend.

The seminar is slated for Friday, May 1, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Salvation Army Guam HQ in Barrigada (155003 Corsair St, Barrigada, GU 96921).

It will be hosted by Majors Eric and Jasiel Tumale with a key presenter being Kyle Karioka, Senior Director of Gift Planning at the Salvation Army.

Topics to be discussed include:

Estate and gift planning in plain English
Helping children avoid “affluenza”
Turning under-productive real estate into an income stream
Structure and benefits of a living trust
Little-known charitable gift opportunities that benefit both family and community
Using charitable gift planning to maximize your income and minimize your income taxes
