DOD officially identifies Army casualties

Guam - The Department of Defense announced today the death of two Guam soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. Sgt. Eugene M Aguon, 23, of Mangilao, Guam, and Spc. Dwayne W. Flores, 22, of Sinajana, Guam died on May 16. According to a release from DOD, Sgt. Aguon and Spc. Flores died from wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their unit with a vehicle borne improvised explosive device.
They were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 294th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Fort Juan Muna, Guam. Rosaries for Sgt. Aguon are being held nightly at the family residence on Dimas Street at 8pm while mass is being said nightly for Spc. Flores at the Agana Cathedral's St. Therese Chapel at 6pm.
