Guam - Prospective carriers vying for the Government of Guam's health insurance contract have until next week to submit their proposals. While much of the procurement process is confidential, Department of Administration director Benita Manglona says following the completion of the request for proposal on may 1st, several carriers have already picked up proposals. She says carriers are supposed to submit two types of proposals.

She told KUAM News, "One is for exclusive meaning you might be able to take the entire book of business for the government or non-exclusive where you share with other carriers and we can share with other carriers up to three."

According to the current timeline, proposals are due on May 29 but could be extended for any extenuating circumstances. Negotiations meanwhile are scheduled for mid-July.
