Unscheduled Outage Affecting Parts of Island

Guam - The Guam Power Authority is investigating what caused power to go out in several villages this afternoon. According to GPA Spokesperson Art Perez at around one o'clock this afternoon generation units Cabras 1 and MEC 9 tripped off line causing power to go out for about a half-hour in the following areas: parts of Yigo, Mangilao, Dededo, Agana, Talofofo, Harmon, Barrigada, Pagat, Mangilao, Apra Heights, Macheche and Tamuning. Any customer still experiencing power related problems are asked to contact GPA Trouble Dispatchers at 475-1472/3/4.
