Guam - The Guam Police Department has posted very basic information about the
disposition of dozens of complaints filed against police officers with the Internal Affairs Division.  According to reports posted on the agency's website, the dispositions of 27 cases were revealed although specific details about the complaints were not.

There were 11 unbecoming conduct complaints. Of those 7 were sustained and the officers received disciplinary action and 4 were unsustained. There were also four unsatisfactory performance complaints.  Three were sustained and resulted in disciplinary action.  There were also nine conformance to laws complaints and seven of those were sustained with
disciplinary action served upon the officer.

The department has also posted the dispositions of some complaints filed with internal affairs this year.  There are 16 cases posted on the agency's website for the current year that have been closed out.  Eight of the complaints were for conformance to laws.  Six of those were sustained, one was unfounded and two were not sustained resulting in letters of clearance being issued to the accused officers.

There were also four unsatisfactory performance complaints.  Three were sustained against the officers.  The website also notes that there was one complaint for processing property & evidence, another for dissemination of information and another for operating vehicles.  All three complaints were sustained and disciplinary action was given.

The law only requires GPD to post information on the disposition of Internal Affairs cases but the department is not required to provide specific information about the complaints filed against police officers.
