Guam - Two Philippine nationals have admitted that they committed visa fraud. Irish Danica Bautista and Ofelia Gonzales both signed plea agreements admitting they fraudulently obtained C-1 non-immigrant visas that allowed them to enter the U.S. solely for the purpose of transiting to a foreign location. The two women arrived on Guam in March.
But instead of taking a flight to Pohnpei where they were supposed to work, they booked one-way tickets to Las Vegas, Nevada where they intended to illegally live and work.
The two have agreed to cooperate with federal authorities. Romualdo Enusban has been charged in relation to the case accused of smuggling numerous Filipino women into the U.S. through the C-1 non-immigrant visas. Court documents state that each of the women paid more than $8,000 to Enusban, who made the visa and travel arrangements for them through his travel company, riches and miles located in the Philippines.
