Guam - Referred to as the "Transfer of Authority" ceremony, the Guam Army National Guard's 1st of the 294th Infantry Regiment is now in control of the security force mission in key locations throughout Afghanistan. A ceremony was held to commemorate the transfer of control at Camp Eggers in Afghanistan Guam replaces Task Force Centurion prime from Alabama.

Lieutenant Colonel Michael Tougher is the commander of Task Force Guam and said, "When I say Hafa Adai, I'm not referring to Fridays or Sundays you will learn what Hafa Adai is what Hafa Adai means you will probably hear every morning from our officers when you see them they will greet you with a fresh friendly and resounding Hafa Adai."

Task Force Guam is comprised of the 600 soldiers that recently deployed earlier this year.  It works directly with NATO training mission - Afghanistan as part of the International Security Assistance Force.
