Guam - While the saying is normally three strikes and you're out, Senator Brant McCreadie plans to introduce legislation that instead changes it to two strikes. Bill 107 would create a two strikes provision for habitual offenders of serious crimes.

McCreadie says the bill fights crime with punishment, saying, "I just want this community to feel protected and feel safe and they're voicing their displeasures about their fears, myself included, it's beginning to not be so much of a safe community as it used to be and we need to fight back and the way we fight back is we make the criminals pay with sentencing like this."

McCreadie says the bill is aimed at violent offenders that commit crimes and in their second strike they would be sentenced to prison for life, without the possibility of any suspended sentence, any type of parole or release. The bill is co-sponsored by Senators Dennis Rodriguez, Jr., Tina Muna Barnes, Michael San Nicolas, Tony Ada and Michael Limtiaco.
