Veterans outreach events throughout May
West Care Pacific Islands with the funding support of the U.S. Veteran's Affairs Center and in partnership with Mayors Council of Guam will be hosting a veteran's early intervention and transition assistance program outreach.
Guam - West Care Pacific Islands with the funding support of the U.S. Veteran's Affairs Center and in partnership with Mayors Council of Guam will be hosting a veteran's early intervention and transition assistance program outreach. West Care lead coordinator and veteran Anthony Nangauta, "Our focus is to reach out to the veterans of the recent military campaigns to include Operation Enduring Freedom Operation Iraqi Freedom the global war on terrorism and most recently operation new dawn."
The EITAP outreach will provide information to veterans and their families on benefits and available resources that they may be eligible to receive from counseling services to job placement. With presenters from the U.S. Veterans Affairs Vet Center, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Pacific Islandshealth Care Services, the Guam Veterans Affairs Office and many more.
Three outreach events are scheduled to take place. The first on May 14 at 6pm at the Mongmong-Toto-Maite Community Center, the second on May 23, 6pm at Merizo Senior Citizens Center and finally on May 28 at 7pm. at the Inarajan Mayor's Office. For more information contact 472-0218.
