Cops chase motorcyclist from Tamuning to Barrigada
Guam - A 20-year-old man is behind bars tonight accused of leading police on a high speed chase from Farenholt Avenue in Tamuning all the way to the Barrigada Tri-Intersection. Patrol officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop when they noticed the man speeding on the motorcycle.
Marquis Patrick Pinaula-Jones managed to elude police all the way down Marine Corps Drive to Hagatna and then up to Route 8 to Barrigada weaving in and out of traffic. Jones crashed when approaching Route 16 and fled on foot in the jungle, where he was later apprehended. Police determined that Jones was driving a bike that had been stolen on April 12 in Tumon.
He was charged with eluding police, reckless driving, fraudulent use of a license plate, no driver's license, failure to comply, possession of a stolen vehicle, and theft by receiving.
