Guam - Is your power bill soaring? This weekend the Guam Energy Office is hosting a Mini-Energy Expo to help island residents learn more about clean energy or solar energy. With power costs increasing this is a great opportunity for residents to find out what alternatives are available to help bring utility costs down by taking advantage of the sun.

The expo will showcase the latest technology in solar energy. With Pacific Green Integrated Technologies, Solar Hart Guam, Pacific Solar, and Photovoltaics and Automated Energy Systems providing information and demonstrations of solar paneling and solar water heating, allowing residents to see solar applications live from running appliances, and lights to providing information on how and what the solar energy system entails.

Guam Energy Office special projects coordinator Steven Muna told KUAM News, "The companies that are going to be exhibiting are the professionals in this field and if the public has any questions on solar applications this would be a good time to come out. The questions that we always get is; how much, what is net meter reading, how much does a solar water heating system cost. So we at the Guam Energy Office want to be the link."

These questions and more will be answered at the 2013 Solar Energy Expo, which will take place at the Guam Premier Outlets this Saturday from 10amto 3pm.
