Guam - After spending the earlier part of this year conducting the audit of the 2010 general election, the Guam Election Commission has formally submitted the completed audit report to the Guam Legislature. GEC executive director Maria Pangelinan says it appears the GEC has met all the mandates required by the Election Reform Law as it relates to the 2010 general election.
"It promotes the transparency of the operations of the Guam Election Commission and there's a learning curve and there's things we had learned by going through it," she explained.
The report includes summaries of the handcounts from several precincts for the 2010 general election along with summaries of provisional votes cast, absentee ballots and ballot stock. It was also noted that the results of the handcounts did not reflect any major difference with the certified results of the 2010 general election. You can read the audit report at gec.guam.gov.
