Health insurance negotiating team completes RFP
Guam - The request for proposal for the government's health insurance contract has been completed. Department of Administration director Benita Manglona says prospective carriers have been notified of the completed RFP.
She says the goal is to get the best coverage for the least possible costs. "Trying to move forward, one of the issues was the lack of rules of procedures that needed to go through the administrative adjudication process," she said. "We are working on that. We completed the rules and procedures and we had our hearing, so now that we're done with the RFP, we're going to address the rules and procedure and submit it to the Guam Legislature."
Prospective offerors are required to register as an interested party by completing the acknowledgement of receipt of the RFP by May 8 whereas as proposals are due by May 29. Negotiations are scheduled for mid-July.
