Lawmakers wrapped up April session by passing 11 measures today.
Guam - Lawmakers wrapped up April session by passing 11 measures today. Among the bills passed include Bill 56 changing the penalty for traffic violations from petty misdemeanor to a civil violation; Bill 65 aimed at offering educational programs for new members of boards and commission and Bill 73 renaming the Department of Mental Health to the Guam Behavioral Health Center. The two measures that failed were Bill 18 that would pay off a $392,000 debt to Hanjin Heavy Industries for work related to the construction of the Chamorro Village along Bill 52 relative to the transfer of autonomous agency revenues to the Autonomous Agency Collections Fund. Meanwhile, the attempted override of vetoed Bill 9 aimed at establishing the QC review board failed as well.
