Guam - A total of seven people were arrested in connection to an incident that occurred in Yona Saturday night.  According to acting police spokesperson Officer Paul Tapao when police arrived to a home in Yona to follow up on a DUI investigation.

Cyenllas Thornton became combative and resisted arrest. He's accused of choking a police officer. When another police officer came to assist a person from inside the home attacked him. When additional officers responded to provide assistance more people from inside the home came out and began attacking the police officers.

Arrested on a slew of charges ranging from assault on a police officer resisting arrest, obstruction of government operations and disorderly conduct were: Cyenllas Thortnon, Eric Gordon Bay, Jonathan Robert Brown, Sandra Cepeda,  Ellainne Bay, Monica Renee Thornton, and Warintip Loto. All seven were booked and confined. Meanwhile four officers were injured and treated by medics.

KUAM has confirmed so far one of the individuals arrested, namely Monica Thorton, is a petty officer in the U.S. Navy assigned to the U.S.S. Frank Cable.
