Guam - The Guam Bar Association, the Guam Judiciary and the District Court of Guam will be celebrating Law Week. This year's theme is "Realizing the Dream, Equality for All", recognizing the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation that signaled the end of slavery.

Chief Justice F. Philip Carbullido says the theme asks individuals to reflect on the significant progress that's been made to end discrimination and to continue working toward rectifying all forms of injustice.

There will be an array of events during law week that includes open house tours of the Judiciary, mock trial plays, student tours, the State of the Judiciary Address, a law fair, the Race Judicata 5K and various outreach events as well as a UOG forum on human trafficking with an emphasis on sex trafficking in Guam and Micronesia.
