Guam - Two men are being held behind bars on $500,000 cash bail for their alleged involvement in a home invasion in Piti.  Numerous tips from the public led to two search warrants that were executed on Friday in Yigo and Dededo.

Raymond Torres Tedtaotao and Anthony Paul Mendiola were arrested and charged with first degree robbery, aggravated assault and burglary.  The two were accompanied by a male minor when they drove up to a home on Ocean View Drive in Piti a week ago.  Court documents state the three knocked on the door and when a woman opened it, the three forced their way inside the house knocking the woman to the ground.

Tedtaotao allegedly hit the woman in the face with a gun and used duct tape to cover her mouth and bind her hands and legs.  The minor allegedly grabbed a duffle bag and filled it with clothes and a camera while Mendiola took two laptops.  The court documents state that Tedtaotao hit the woman on the face repeatedly asking where the money was.  She couldn't respond because her mouth was duct tape shut. The three left the house but not before Tedtaotao grabbed the woman's purse inside a vehicle.

The woman, who is a military dependant, sustained major head trauma that required neurosurgery. She is listed in good condition at the Naval hospital.  The woman was able to identify Mendiola from a photo lineup.  Police located Tedtaotao leaving his home as they were getting ready to execute a search warrant at his house.  They found duct tape inside the green car he was driving.

The male minor was not charged as an adult and is confined at the Department of Youth Affairs.
