Guam - An informational seminar was held today for businesses and manufacturers to learn more about the Guam Product Seal program. Coco-Jo's celebrates 10 years of making cookies on Guam and most recently chocolates. It's owner, Denise Selk, was one of over 40 participants attending today. She looks forward to more proactive cooperation with GEDA.

She said, "What we're really interested in though as a Guam Product Seal holder and other Guam product seal holders are to get offending businesses that are not real Guam products, because that's what's really hurting us are these companies out there that are imitating Guam products or look-a-likes and it hurts the economy."

GEDA discussed its role as the enforcement arm of the program along with regulations and procedures in place. GEDA will start administering the provisions to the Guam Product Seal along with commencing inspections to ensure compliance on June 1.
