Guam - Over 18,000 Guam residents 25 years of age and over don't have a high school diploma. But starting next year, if you're looking to grab your GED, the cost is set to increase from $90 to $125. At the Mayor's Council of Guam meet earlier this week assistant director and GED administrator Doris Perez says the company administering the test is now for-profit and GCC will also be updating its 2002 version to the 2014 computer based test.
Testing is administered twice a month but requires a pre registration. In addition, GCC offers an adult high school program. Persons 16 and older are eligible.
If the adult learner is looking to go to college, both programs transition into the College Access Challenge Grant Program that could fund up to $1,000 to attend a local or stateside university.
