Guam - Management at the Guam Memorial Hospital is currently going over its budget for the coming fiscal year. The hospital sought a 30-day extension to submit its budget to lawmakers. They received $93 million, which still leaves the hospital in the hole $10 million for the current fiscal year.
GMH and CEO Joseph Verga says this budget submission will be much different than prior years, as it is built on accurate information and incorporates the need for prices to be adjusted. The budget is due to lawmakers at the end of the month and the board of trustees is set to review and approve the budget during a special meeting scheduled for April 29.
