Nominees sought for Public School Teacher of the Year

The 2013 Guam Public School Teacher of the Year Program launched today. Each school community is invited to make nominations from their jurisdiction.

Guam - The 2013 Guam Public School Teacher of the Year Program launched today. Each school community is invited to make nominations from their jurisdiction. Candidates should be exceptionally dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled planning to continue in an active teacher status; inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn; have the respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues; play an active and useful role in the community as well as the school; and be poised, articulate, and possess the energy to withstand a taxing schedule.

Nominations must be submitted on or before 5pm on April 30 and addressed Office of the Superintendent attention Erika Cruz deputy superintendent 2nd floor Manuel F. Leon Guerrero Building Hagatna, Guam.

Five semi-finalists will proceed to an interview stage and no more than three finalists will move on to onsite observation before the announcement of the teacher of the year on May 22.
