Trial for accused murderer delayed until 2014

Guam - The trial of a former Guam resident who is accused of plotting her husband's murder has been delayed until next year. Michelle Chaco Paet was originally scheduled to go to trial in Las Vegas, Nevada in May. There have been several delays in the case as each of the defendants in the case will be tried separately.
In 2010 Nellis Air Force Base Staff Sergeant Nathan Paet was gunned down in front of his Las Vegas home. His wife, Michelle, and three others are accused of plotting and carrying out the murder to collect more than $500,000 from Paet's life insurance policy. Michelle and co-defendants, Michael Rodriguez, Corry Hawkins, and Jessica Austin, remain behind bars.
Michelle's trial is now scheduled for March 3, 2014 and she will be the first of the defendants to be tried. Clark County court records do not indicate the reason for the delay as the parties met with the judge in chambers to discuss the new trial dates.
