Guam - The Department of Public Health is on high alert with the rising number of H7N9 cases. To date, nine cases of Bird Flu have been reported from China, leaving three dead. Here at home, DPHSS director James Gillan says all we can do is watch and continue surveillance with our partners in the Pacific.

He adds the public shouldn't be alarmed as its unlikely infected individuals are traveling but airport officials will be watching for anyone with flu like symptoms.

Gillan continues on saying this avian influenza has yet to be classified as an epidemic and cannot be transmitted from human to human.
