Guam - Police are conducting a death investigation into the death of a toddler that was brought into the Probation Office in Hagatna this afternoon. Court officials are not releasing many details, but KUAM News has confirmed that police were at the facility today. Court policy, planning and communications director Josh Tenorio said a call was made from the Probation Office to 911 around 3:30 this afternoon.

He says medics and police responded to the scene.

Preliminary information is that upon seeing the 3-year-old, efforts were made to perform CPR, but we understand the child was taken to Naval Hospital in Agana Heights and pronounced dead. Guam Police Department spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia confirms that police were notified and the Criminal Investigation Division will be taking over the case.

Police are investigating whether the child has been left in a car in the parking lot for several hours today.

As of 7pm Wednesday night a male individual had been taken into custody for questioning related to the toddler's death.  No arrest has been made at this time.
