Dededo toddler dead after being run over by car

Guam - A one year old boy is dead after being run over by a car. The mother and father of a one year old baby were seen in the back of a police car the mother obviously emotional after learning that her son was run over by a car.
"This morning about 940am officers responded to an auto pedestrian crash," said police spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia says the child who was dropped off to his auntie's house along Chalan Palaun was outside when he was hit.
"A one year male minor Chuukese was on near the road here and was struck by a 2009 RAV-4 operated by a 38 year old male." The 38 year old driver was a visitor Guam Highway Patrol officers were on scene conducting their investigation. The tragedy marks the 6th traffic related fatality of the year.
There's also no word on whether the driver was under the influence. Chief medical examiner Dr. Aurelio Espinola says he will be conducting an autopsy on the baby tomorrow. Meanwhile according to Dededo Mayor Melissa Savares the infant actually resides in the home, and that his parents actually live in an abandoned structure near Maria Ulloa Elementary School. She added the parents have a total of five children but the kids have been living with extended family because they aren't able to provide a suitable home. She did say though they were going the through process of securing a home so that they could reunite their family under one roof.
