Calvo Cancer Foundation gets $150K grant
The University of Guam and the Guam Cancer Trust Fund Council have awarded the Edward M. Calvo Cancer Foundation a $150,000 grant.
Guam - The University of Guam and the Guam Cancer Trust Fund Council have awarded the Edward M. Calvo Cancer Foundation a $150,000 grant. The local non-profit organization provides assistance to cancer patients in our community. The grant will go toward the administering of financial assistance, therapy services and support activities for local cancer patients.
President of the Edward M. Calvo Cancer Foundation Marie Calvo Monge says "as a local non-profit foundation relying solely on the generosity of the community to help those battling this devastating disease, this show of support from UOG and GCTF speak volumes about the warm and giving spirit of our island."
The EMC Foundation holds several fundraisers every year most recently hosting its annual food art and wine festival.
