Guam - Several bills are heading to Adelup for Governor Eddie Calvo's review.  Among the bills passed on session floor today:

-The Predator Prevention Act authored by Senator Brant McCreadie received unanimous support. The legislation gets tough on crimes involving criminal sexual conduct. It would ensure that convicted sex offenders serve 100% of their sentence and should they commit the same crime again they would serve a mandatory 25 years to life.

- Bill 43 also heads to Adelup, the bill introduced by Vice Speaker B.J. Cruz strengthens penalties for possessing the drug Spice.

- Speaker Judi Won Pat's Secure our Schools Act of 2013 passed. The legislation would authorize GEDA to procure electronic security systems in Guam's public schools.

- An override of the governor's veto of bill nine was unsuccessful. The legislation introduced by Senator Ben Pangelinan proposes establishing an independent qualifying certificate review board.
