Guam - North Korea's state run media agency KCNA is reporting another threat against Guam. Here's a portion of the latest report on KCNA's website.

"From this moment the KPA Supreme Command will put on the highest alert all the field artillery units including strategic rocket units and long-range artillery units which are assigned to strike bases of the U.S. imperialist aggressor troops in the U.S. mainland and on Hawaii and Guam and other operational zone in the Pacific as well as all the enemy targets in south Korea and its vicinity."

North Korea made the announcement of its latest threat in response to ongoing participation of B52 Bombers flying out of Andersen Air Force Base in exercises with South Korea.

"We will show the present puppet authorities of south Korea, which are dancing to the tune of their master, kowtowing to his hostile policy toward the DPRK, the strongest will of the DPRK army with physical action. The enemies are seriously mistaken if they think they can find an opportunity for striking "basic bases" and attacking "support forces" and "commanding forces". They should be mindful that everything will be reduced to ashes and flames the moment the first attack is unleashed," KCNA reported.

It was last week North Korea first threatened Guam and other U.S. Bases in the Pacific. In response Governor Eddie Calvo issued a statement to reassure the island community that we are safe "The first thing we need to do is to calm our anxieties and our tension. We're protected by the strongest and most advanced military in the world that has placed missile defense systems around our island and throughout the Pacific. We can't get into upheaval every time North Korea makes a threat, because it happens often, and because its military capabilities are decades behind our nation's," Calvo stated.

"Guam Homeland Security has a direct line to U.S. Pacific Command, and has received briefings from Joint Region Marianas to allay concerns the administration and our people have about our safety from these threats. If a North Korean threat ever were to materialize, U.S. Pacific Command would alert Guam immediately, defense systems would be engaged immediately, and a series of steps to protect our people would be relayed through the media and the Emergency Alert System," he added.
